The Scott Antique Market

Well today was the first day of our monthly antique show at the Scott Antique Market in Atlanta. It falls on the second full weekend of every month and Wendy and I have been doing this show together for about 8 years.
There are two huge building each sitting on opposite sides of the expressway. We are in what is considered the South building and are always in the same location  Row K6.

Here are a few pictures of our booth's, more pictures can be seen on our facebook page, Ms. Wendy's Antiques

If you see anything you might be interested in, please let us know through our facebook page and we can get the information to you quicker.

This set of books are the works of famous Authors and Poets such as Poe, Kipling, Emerson, Brown, and Shakespear to name a few

Set of gentleman rockers from New York found in original condition

We always have on hand one of a kind hand-made furniture pieces like this steel top bar, with rebar foot rails and plenty of storage space in back. This would look great as a kitchen island as well.

If you have a big crowd coming for the holidays, this table with a repurposed  butcher block top has room to seat eight very comfortably.

No matter how formal everyone else gets, my heart still longs for this style of furniture, the much loved and much used. And check out those repurposed chairs

An old pair of skis - be still my heart!

This old linesman canvas pack filled with greenery and an added bow is ready to hang on your front door

This picture and the next one have one of my most cherished finds. I purchased these pieces of old  quilt  many, many years ago. I decided to put them in frames to preserve them from further damage. I still can't believe I am parting with them, however the story behind these beauties is they are from an old quilt found in a trunk. The quilt itself was beyond repair and most was either moth eaten or just dry rotting. I was told they are at least as old as 1819 and the entire quilt was designed after fox hunting.

Great art deco style fire screen - perfect!

One of the other items we have consistently are these old windows that are painted on the reverse side. The painting is a four or more step process and are all fashioned after old advertising. This is just a sampling of what we have to offer.

Well that is it for now, remember if you see anything your are interested in, most items can be shipped with the exception of the windows and furniture piece. However we would love for you to visit us here or at our store in Senoia...Until next time

Painted Boxes

Out of all of my collection, and there are many, I think I love these little painted boxes the best.

I imagine young brides taking their most prized possessions into their new homes, perhaps small pieces of lace and ribbon, buttons or pictures.

Among my collection of boxes are book boxes, were they used to actually protect fragile books or bibles

I have had these any many others in my collection for years, they are getting harder to find and are getting very pricey. I will always cherish them!
