Nurture Your Vintage Soul at Vintage Village Antique Store

It's been a while since I have posted, however I am happy to say that I have settled into Vintage Village quite nicely
If you are in the area and are able to visit, it is well worth the trip!
Here are just a few of the photos of my space, which has evolved over the last few month, and I am getting ready to change it up once again. Follow me on Facebook

Collections

Like most of you, I have collected many things over the years. I have also parted with many of my collections along the way mainly because of room or lack of interest in the pieces.

Some of my collections have been the dreaded frogs, which included everything from canisters to curtains, UGH!
At one time I also collected roosters, which I still have a fondness for but again that was in the past.

Now my collections consist of the many things I love...some are on going, some are complete and some things I will never part with because of sentimental reason.

I love clocks, any kind of clocks, from alarms to grandfather and anything in between. My love of them started when I found an old IBM wall clock in PA., it no longer worked so I converted it to battery power and I love it today as much as I did over 18 years ago when I bought it.
.

In the bathroom I have a collection of men's
vintage grooming supplies along with old mirrors, collars, shaving brushes and mugs

Some of my collection came as a surprise gift, like these wonderful old fabric brushes. I just love these and would love to have more however they are getting hard to find.

More then anything, I love vintage and antique pieces that tell as story from long ago and simpler times. I have heard when you have three of an item, that is a collection. I say just surround yourself with what you love no matter the amount.

Nurture Your Vintage Soul at Vintage Village

My new booth is finally set up at the Village, I started out with some great vintage garden pieces since the weather has been so warm and spring like lately.

I know most antique booths are normally a mix of all sorts of vintage and antique goodness, however I am a theme dealer. It helps me decide on what to buy if I do my booth in a theme, otherwise I would roam the stores, flea markets and estate sales and not buy anything.

Since it has been years that I have been in an antique store that has separate booths, I wasn't fully prepared for what I needed to give mine for a finished look. At Ms. Wendy's I displayed all over the store and our ceilings were 14 foot tall. I now have a lower ceiling to work with and am trying to decide what I can hang above to display on as well.

My new booth is also two sided which gives me an opportunity to give a different look on both sides.

I have carried this line of candles for years as well as a soap line which I will be adding to my booth soon.

The Count Down Has Begun and Saying Goodbye to Ms. Wendy's Antiques

In 7 days I will be setting up my new Antique booth in Vintage Village

I have been pulling together a lot of great vintage garden items just in time for spring as well as adding my favorite line of candles and soaps.

As many of you already know, Ms. Wendy's Antiques where I have been for the last 6 years will be closing her doors with a new lifestyle market taking over the space.

Before I joined Ms. Wendy's as a dealer, I offered my help to set up for their first Christmas in Senoia. I was very excited to be part of this, and as you can see in the pictures, the store looked very warm and inviting.

Over the years we changed our look many times, adding fresh coats of paint, lighting and of course merchandise. The following picture come to you from our last days in the shop

I will always appreciate Wendy for allowing me to use my creativity and making me feel the store was as much mine as it was hers. I will miss this place and all of our wonderful customers.
Wendy and I will still be at the Scott Antique Market every month and you will also find us at Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain and Nashville.

I am looking forward to my new adventure at Vintage Village, there are so many talented dealers there with some great vintage and antique finds.
See you there!
